Editorial standards

• Ratings are the maker's, shown with the conditions they apply to (amperage, input voltage, process).
• Every buyers' list prints the rule that orders it.
• Commissions don't touch coverage, wording or order.
• Settings advice is labelled as a starting point and credited to its source.
• Corrections are made when a reader or maker shows the right figure.

What we don't do

• Take money, free machines or favours for coverage.
• Call a helmet approved for a process unless its maker states the standard.
• Estimate a duty cycle, thickness or cut capacity a maker hasn't published.
