TIG Welders
DC and AC/DC TIG welders with the makers' output, polarity, pulse and duty cycle side by side.
TIG gives the most control and the cleanest welds: a tungsten electrode holds the arc while you feed filler by hand under argon. DC-only machines weld steel and stainless; AC/DC machines add aluminium. Pulse settings help control heat on thin metal.
TIG is slower and takes more practice than MIG. Most TIG inverters also stick weld, and many include a foot pedal or a finger control; check what's in the box on each product page.

DC TIG machines cost less and weld steel, stainless and chromoly.
